Live a Life you Love.
About my journey
I am Dr. Tari Webber, a clinical psychologist, co-founder of Safe Passage California Modeling Network, founder of Webber Psych Action Fitness, and co-founder of Journey to the Empowered Self. My work is rooted in helping individuals reconnect with themselves from the inside out, with a focus on eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety.
I believe deeply that true transformation begins within. My academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on learning communities, a master’s degree in organizational development, business, and systems psychology, and a doctorate in clinical psychology. But beyond education, it is my lived experiences and human connection that shape my work.
For over 25 years, I have worked within the performing arts industry, supporting individuals in building self-esteem and personal growth—both personally and professionally. Alongside this, I have spent more than two decades as a personal trainer and yoga instructor, cultivating a passion for health, self-love, and self-care. My goal has always been to help people develop a meaningful and lasting commitment to themselves.
My specialty in eating disorders grew from understanding the delicate balance between striving for goals and practicing self-compassion—learning how to be driven without falling into perfectionism. This bridge between self-love and personal ambition is at the heart of my work.
Service has been a lifelong calling. Whether as an AmeriCorps member, working with homeless women, co-founding Safe Passage for Women, mentoring within the business community, or creating scholarship opportunities for youth, my commitment to community is grounded in joy, compassion, and love. I have also worked in domestic violence advocacy in San Francisco, educating women on the cycle of violence and empowering them to establish healthy boundaries for themselves and their children.
I believe in fostering interdependence rather than dependence—encouraging relationships that support growth, autonomy, and self-respect. My life has also been shaped by my role as a mother to two incredible grown children, while remaining deeply connected to the communities I serve.
My mission is simple yet powerful: to help others cultivate self-love instead of self-judgment, and to extend that energy outward into the world. Imagine a world rooted in inclusivity rather than division, empowerment rather than disempowerment. True power is not found in money or status, but in connection, compassion, and the courage to love ourselves and others fully.
How different would the world be if each of us embraced that? How much healing could we offer—to ourselves and to one another?
To begin, I invite you to start small:
Make your bed.
Smile at someone.
Take a walk.
Connect with nature.
Breathe.
Be present.
These simple acts are where transformation begins—a gentle reminder that empowerment, when rooted in love, is one of the greatest gifts we can offer the world.
